| Brief Introduction to Qishan |
Qishan Town is located in the south of Zhaoyuan City,
Shandong, China. It is 15 kilometers to Zhaoyuan City. The total area
is 145 square kilometers with the population of 4,5000. There are
77 villages in the town.
Qishan is a beautiful town with a long history. In 556
BC, the Qi state’s general of YanRuo with his powerful soldiers passed
through here. So it got the name of Qishan. On July, 1945, the “Martyr
Tower” was built up at the Qishan Mountain by the Zhaoyuan Government.
Now it is more famous for the tower.
Qishan is well developed on agriculture and it is one
of the main places of grain and fruits. The total food supplies is
21 million KG a year with the total value of RMB ￥4.4 hundred million.
The peanut’s farmland is 2,700 hectares including 540 hectares which
had passed the international certificate of no-pollution products.
The total product of peanut is 12 million KG. The fruit fields are
1,400 hectares producing 20 million KG no-pollution fruits a year.
The “Luguan” brand of red fuji apple was named “Famous Fruit of China”.
The wheat, corn, peanut, soybean, apple and chestnut are all growing
well here. The feeding scale of cow, cattle, pig, sheep and chicken
is large here. And Qishan Town was named “Developed Stockbreeding
Industry Town” by Shandong government.
The frame of the second and third industry is appropriate
and has a powerful future. There are 2 joint venture companies, 40
local companies. Two economic development zones and ten bazaars are
operated well here. In 2002, the total industry value is RMB ￥510
million, and the total tax is RMB ￥53 million. The main companies
are Zhaoyuan Medical Appliance Factory, Yantai Jinjinchao Fruit&Vegetable
Food Co., Ltd, Yantai Dajiang Food Co., Ltd, Zhaoyuan Fuli Asbestos
Factory, Yantai Hongxin Power Cable Co., Ltd, Zhaoyuan Qishan Toughened
Glass Factory. And the main products of medical appliance, fruit&vegetable
juice, peanut, asbestos, power cable and toughened glass are exported
to more than 20 countries or regions such as Japan, Canada, Australia,
South-East of Asia and Middle-East.
The infrastructure of Qishan is perfect. Three roads of
Longshui, Huangshui and Hailai, cross here. The communication appliances
work well. The program controlled telephone, mobile, TV and Internet
Service connect Qishan to the whole world. The power can be well supplied
and its price consists with the power’s price of Zhaoyuan City. The
scene of Qishan is beautiful. The mountain, water and air allure the
travelers to visit Qishan.
